Ambassador's Welcome Speech

Dear friends,

Let me welcome you on behalf of the Embassy of Georgia to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
Our Embassy is also accredited to the Republic of Burundi; Central African Republic; Republic of Djibouti; Republic of Kenya; Republic of Rwanda; Republic of South Sudan; Republic of Seychelles; Federal Republic of Somalia; United Republic of Tanzania; Republic of Uganda and also acts as Georgia’s Permanent Representation to the African Union (AU).

Nowadays, bilateral relations are developing steadily and dynamically. It gives me a special pleasure that Ethiopian students choose Georgia as their higher education destination. Returning home, they will use the acquired knowledge for the benefit of their homeland and I am confident, cherish and share with others their love for our country.

I'm honoured to represent Georgia in one of the oldest and largest orthodox states in Africa with its unique history and culture, the country of brave people Georgia has long-standing relations with. As for me, together with my team, will be delighted to make my own contribution to the strengthening our ties and enhancing our friendship.
